Advances in Diabetes Technology: Innovation and Applications - 24 - 26 April 2025 in Vienna, Austria

The EASD Diabetes Technology School (TechSchool) is an exciting new initiative and the first programme of its kind, designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare professionals in the rapidly evolving field of diabetes technology. The inaugural programme marks the beginning of many unique opportunities to gain valuable expertise in diabetes technology, paving the way for improved care and innovation in the field.

The programme is open to clinically qualified healthcare professionals with an interest in advancing their competencies in diabetes technology. This face-to-face, 3-day programme is designed to equip participants with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in the latest advancements, including continuous glucose monitoring systems, automated insulin delivery systems, and digital health platforms.

Criteria and eligibility for the course

The course is designed for medical doctors that have to interact with diabetes technology in their daily practice and would benefit from an insight knowledge on the topic.

Applicants must be members of EASD and have received their medical degree not more than 7 years before 1 January 2025.

Participants must attend in person, be present during all sessions and be fluent in English. Before applying ensure that you have the necessary documents to travel, if selected (visa and a valid passport).

Cost of the course

The registration fee for the course, accommodation and most meals are covered by EASD and supporters.

Participants should organise their own travel. Travel costs are not covered by EASD.

The application must include the following:

  • A curriculum vitae giving your current professional address (with email address) and full details of education and academic and/or clinical career to date.
  • A one-page motivation letter describing your experience with diabetes technology and how you think that this course will benefit your clinical practice/research.
  • A list of the type(s) of diabetes technology available in your country of practice.

All information will be treated confidentially and only shared with the Review Committee who will then decide on the selection.
