Apostolos Tsapas

Professor Apostolos Tsapas, MD, PhD, MSc (Oxon), earned his medical degree and PhD from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. He completed his research and postgraduate training in Evidence-Based Healthcare (MSc) at the University of Oxford and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, USA.

He is currently the Chair of the Clinical Medicine Division, Director of the Second Medical Department and Diabetes Centre at Ippokratio Hospital in Thessaloniki, and the founding Lead Investigator of the Clinical Research and Evidence-Based Medicine Unit at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

His main research interests include research methodology, knowledge synthesis (systematic reviews and meta-analyses), guideline development, evidence-based practice, patient-centred care, and clinical decision-making in medicine and diabetes.
