Dr Lucile Dollet
Role: Postdoctoral Researcher
Institution: Center for Basic Metabolic Research, University of Copenhagen, Denmark
Research & Interests: Lucile Dollet obtained her PhD from the University of Nantes, France, where she developed her interest in the endocrine role of adipose tissue in metabolic diseases. She then joined the Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, where she studied the mechanisms by which exercise training affects adipocyte metabolism and adipose-skeletal muscle crosstalk in diabetes. For this work, she was awarded the EFSD Young Investigator Award in 2019 and the EFSD Rising Star Award in 2020. Dr Dollet then received a grant from the Novo Nordisk Foundation to continue her research at the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on the role secreted proteins in inter tissue crosstalk and their impact on the regulation of metabolism, in response to cellular stress such as mitochondrial dysfunction.
