Prof. Anne L. Peters
Anne L. Peters, MD, is a professor at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California. She runs diabetes centers in Beverly Hills and in underserved East Los Angeles. She has been a PI on multiple grants, has authored over 250 articles and 4 books and has given lectures around the world.
Her major interests involve translating research findings, from lifestyle interventions to technology, to people with diabetes throughout the socioeconomic spectrum. She has been part of the ADA/EASD writing group on the management of type 2 diabetes, the co-chair for the EASD/ADA writing group for the treatment of type 1 diabetes, a member of the Professional Practice Committee writing the ADA Standards of Care and the Chair of the Endocrine Society Technology Guideline Writing Group.
She was awarded the ADA Outstanding Physician Clinician Award, the Bernardo Alberto Houssay Award from the National Minority Quality Forum and the Laureate Award for Public Service from the Endocrine Society.
