Oliver Kuß
Professor Oliver Kuss is Director of the Institute of Biometrics and Epidemiology at the German Diabetes Center (DDZ), Leibniz Center for Diabetes Research at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, and Full Professor of Biometrics, Epidemiology, and Health Services Research at the Medical Faculty of the Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, Germany.
He is a biostatistician by training and has long-lasting experience in design, conduct, and analysis of all kinds of studies in medical research. He conducted systematic reviews and meta-analyses as principal investigator as well as the consulting biostatistician. His methodical interests with respect to meta-analysis are methods for sparse binary data and for diagnostic studies.
Prof. Kuss is the Principal Investigator of the Düsseldorf recruiting center as well as the Co-chair of the expert group "Statistical Analysis" of the German National Cohort (GNC, NAKO Gesundheitsstudie). He is also a member of the Scientific Advisory Boards of the German National Diabetes Surveillance (Robert-Koch-Institut, Berlin), and of the Institute for Quality and Efficiency in Health Care (IQWIG, Köln).
