Djordje Popovic
Djordje S. Popovic is an Associate Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at the Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad, and an Endocrinologist at the Clinic for Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolic Disorders, University Clinical Center of Vojvodina. He completed both his medical degree and PhD at the Medical Faculty, University of Novi Sad, where he also trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.
His research primarily focuses on the treatment of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes, the long-term complications of diabetes, and the management of cardiovascular and chronic kidney disease in type 1 diabetes. He has a particular interest in exploring the potential role of adjunct non-insulin therapies for individuals living with type 1 diabetes.
